COVID-19 Updated Information & Opening Hours

We are OPEN and are remaining OPEN during the January 2021 COVID-related national Lockdown. If you already have an appointment please keep that appointment and attend at your appointed time, unless you are experiencing any COVID symptoms or are self isolating(if so please contact us to postpone your appointment). We invite all patients that not yet had an appointment since we re-opened after the first Covid-related lockdown(March-June 2020) to contact us to book an appointment.
Prior to your appointment, we will need to assess the risk to you posed by COVID and the risk of you having COVID-19. We will need to ask you a number of questions to allow us to keep you and our team safe: this is in addition to you filling in your medical history.
Please read our patient information summary sheet on the right to understand our new guidance for attending a dental appointment at Lime Tree COVID-19. Please DO NOT travel to the practice without an appointment! We are operating a lock door policy so patients are requested to wait in their car or on the driveway*, until your surgery team is ready to invite you in. *We now have a shelter at the bottom of the driveway, opposite the front door, with seats for you if you prefer./p>
We are following closely the advice given to dental practices regarding COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS).
Supplies of newly required Personal Protective Equipment has been a common topic in the news and media. PPE is there to protect our patients and our staff. We are determined to ensure that all patient care is delivered safely for all concerned, with the correct PPE. We have all of the required PPE for us to see patients safely. We require even higher levels of PPE to allow us to carry out any treatment that generates a spray(aerosol) from a patient's mouth. For your information, we are now making a surcharge for PPE and the required safety changes we have had to make to allow us to open and see patients safely. This charge is £10 for a routine appointment that does not generate an aerosol and £25 for an aerosol generating procedures (AGPs) appointment such as fillings, crown preparations etc. These AGPs now require us to leave the surgery empty for a period of time after the procedure and then we spend half an hour decontaminating the whole surgery afterwards. We do not charge for this down time, we charge for the PPE, materials and changes made to allow these appointments to go ahead.
We have all had to accept recent changes to our way of life and we will need to remain flexible over the coming months. There are and will be changes in the way we deliver dentistry as a result of restrictions & guidance for Infection Prevention & Control. Please see the summary image above to familiarise yourself with these changes, so you know what to expect at your appointment. We are grateful for your understanding and patience.
The team are doing and continue to do everything we possibly can to remain fit, well and able to work so that we can continue our usual high standard of dental care for you. We screen our staff for signs & symptoms of COVID daily including temperature checks.

How To Find Us
We can be found on Woodhill Road which is just 300m from Waitrose and the High Street. If travelling into Portishead follow A369 past the Aldi/McDonalds. At the roundabout at the High St. turn Right, and then left, into Cabstand, (by wedding shop opposite Petrol Station). Then take the first right into Woodhill Road, Lime Tree Dental Practice is situated 100m on the right, opposite the former church building.
(The Car Park opposite the practice is the property of the residents of the church. Therefore please find alternative parking, i.e. on the roads in the area or in one of the near by town car parks)

Access
We have a disabled ramp to the front door, ground floor reception and surgery facilities. The driveway access is a little steep so if you require assistance coming down the drive, please let us know and we can arrange to help you down or up the drive. Within the confines of the existing building, we do not currently have a toilet with disabled access, we apologise for any inconvenience but we cannot offer toilet facilities during the Covid outbreak
